For NOAA Staff, in addition to NOAA Library offered services, the National Weather Center (NWC) library offers the following services.
Set up an appointment with Amanda Schilling, the NWC Library Branch Manager. Amanda can talk to you about library resources, help you explore scholarly literature, help you explore weather data, consult on LaTeX, and much more. Plus, there are other specialists who offer consultations on a variety of subjects.
Schedule a training session for small or large groups on the subjects of library resources, better practices in literature searching, conducting literature reviews, information literacy, research impact metrics, and much more. Please contact Amanda Schilling to discuss your specific needs and to schedule.
The University of Oklahoma Libraries offers workshops targeted at researchers of all levels (students, postdocs, faculty, and staff) to increase working efficiency with understanding of research and data better practices. Workshops focus on a broadly targeted mix of concepts and tools. These workshops are open to NWC affiliates and anyone who is interested. You can attend our regularly scheduled workshops or browse our workshop menu and request that we bring a workshop to your research group. There are two meeting/study rooms in the NWC Library that can be reserved. Please note, accommodation testing takes priority in NWC 4392A.
