Shannon Falconi
Ms. Falconi is the Small Business Program Manager for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Acquisition and Grants Office (AGO). In this role Ms. Falconi facilitates the internal focus of the small business program. Working closely with government staff, Ms. Falconi provides early engagement, training, advisement, and subject matter expertise regarding NOAA’s small business policies, regulations, and goal achievement.
Ms. Falconi joined NOAA in 2020, serving as a Senior Contracting Officer supporting the National Weather Service (NWS) before transitioning to her current role in 2022. Ms. Falconi began her federal career as an intern with the Air Force while completing her Master of Business Administration (MBA). Upon graduation, Ms. Falconi was hired as a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program Manager. Ms. Falconi transitioned into acquisition becoming a Contract Specialist for the Air Force and Navy prior to joining NOAA.
Ms. Falconi has over 14 years of experience in federal procurement and holds a Federal Acquisition Certification – Contracting (FAC-C) Level III / FAC-C (Professional) Certification, a FAC Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) Level III Certification, and an unlimited warrant. Having begun her federal career focused on supporting the small business community and further expanded her expertise in federal acquisition, Ms. Falconi brings valuable skillsets to her current role.
